Dubai Billionaire Invests $20 Billion in U.S. Data Centers
Hussain Sajwani has pledged to build data centers across the United States.

Hussain Sajwani, a UAE billionaire and founder of Damac Properties, is making a major investment in the U.S. tech sector. He plans to invest $20 billion in data centers across the country.
The announcement came during a press conference at Mar-a-Lago. President-elect Donald Trump joined the event. The move supports the U.S. tech industry and strengthens ties between the two men.
Trump said the investment will help build large data centers in key regions, including the Midwest and the Sun Belt. These areas are important for the growth of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies.
Trump said, “These data centers will help keep America at the forefront of technological innovation.”
Investment Details and Expansion Plans
Sajwani is worth about $5.1 billion. He said he is open to investing even more money. He said, “If the market allows, I hope to invest even more than $20 billion.”
The first phase of the project will focus on Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Sajwani said Trump’s election was “amazing news” for him and his family. He also said it was an honor to work together on innovation projects.
For him, this partnership is not just about business. It is also about building the future of technology.
Business Ties and Wider Influence
This is not the first time Sajwani and Trump have worked together. Their partnership started years ago.
In 2016, Damac built a Trump-branded golf course in Dubai. The project caused controversy during Trump’s presidency because of his international business ties. However, their friendship continued.
Sajwani has also built connections beyond Trump. He was recently seen celebrating New Year’s Eve at Mar-a-Lago with Trump and Elon Musk, the world’s richest person.
The three took a photo together, showing his strong business network.
Even with his business success, Sajwani also talks about golf. He has praised Trump’s golf courses, though he does not play often. He once told Forbes, “For people who play golf, they understand that Trump delivers the highest quality of golf courses.”
